Security Bank Foundation lived up to its promise in aiding Leyte National High School from the ruins that was brought by Super Typhoon Yolanda as a new building for the Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) was inaugurated last July 9, 2015.
“The new building’s construction will be useful to the teachers in the TLE department and would be helpful to the students of Leyte National High School,” said Rafael Simpao Jr., Chairman of Security Bank.
Simpao led the Security Bank Foundation delegation in the affair and was with Manelo Macabenta, the Bank’s Division Office Representative, and Melissa Aquino, the Bank’s secretary.
The Officials of Security Bank Foundation, along side the representatives of the City Government of Tacloban and other guests, expect that the newly constructed building will be of great importance to the students’ learning in TLE in school.
In attendance were Vice-Mayor Jerry “Sambo” Yaokasin and First Councilor Cristina Romualdez (for the City Government of Tacloban), LNHS School Principal Dr. Jane M. Codilan, TLE Department Head Melchor Catindoy, the TLE teachers and students.
Fr. Erbie Lajara presided over the blessing of the new building after which the ceremonial giving of the key was made by both Vice-Mayor Yaokasin and Councilor Romualdez alongside the Security Bank officials handing it over to School Head Dr. Codilan.
A School Building Marker was set to the placed at a later time.
